REVIEW from Cherry's SOLD OUT Stables gig... - February 2, 2009
Here's Rob Felton's review from Cherry's SOLD OUT Stables gig!
Firstly let me thank all those who made the trip to Milton Keynes to see Cherry's much anticipated show @ The Stables.
By the time Cherry and the boys hit the stage the room was packed to bursting point and the audience quickly warmed as the band ripped into "Cherry Wine". What followed was a joy to behold, the sound and lighting was excellent and the attentive audience was hanging on every note. Cherry sang her way through her impressive song book of Blues & Roots music and the band was, as ever brilliant, it was a great performance in the truest sense of the word.
Can I recommend to those who haven't managed to see Cherry sing "live" that do so if she's ever in your neck of the woods. When Cherry's on stage you are never short changed, every ounce of emotion is rung from every note and at the end you can be sure there was no more to give.
Cherry would also like to extend her thanks to The Ben Poole Band who were on the same bill and delivered an excellent set also.
Cherry's next gig is in Danny's Bar @ Esquires next Sunday 8th Feb and will be kicking off about 4:30pm, it is free entry. It's gonna be another special as Cherry has put together a full band for this one so it is definitely one not to miss. Come along and see what all the fuss is about!

Hey there people!
Well, well, well! What a blast we had in the Shetlands for the 5th Annual Shetland Blues Festival! We all loved the island, the people and the hospitality was fantastic, second to none. The band and I want to again thank Jimmy Jimmy for being a champ, and my thanks goes out to the Drummond Family who put up with me in their beautiful pad for the weekend! And I am now a fully fledged member of the Shetlands Lifeboat Crew, thanks to Sammy and the lads for letting me crash in! What a way to see the island aboard a lifeboat!
The gigs were fantastic - we did 3 in all and there is footage up on youtube thanks to Ryan for uploading us in our glory! I've also uploaded an EXCLUSIVE from CherryVision - "Carry On Shetland!" - The band and i's adventures in the Shetlands - check part 1 & 2 out below!
